Winona Ryder (born Winona Laura Hornowitz) was born in Winona Minnesota. Her name was chosen by her parents for the town in which she grew in. His father Michel Horowitz and her mother Cynthia Palmer were authors and editors. Ryder's father came from an ethnically Jewish family Ryder thinks she's Jewish. The actress is the younger sister of Uria as well as half-siblings Jubal and Sunyata. Ryder along with her whole family relocated to Mendocino County in California in the year 2000, when Ryder was just seven. There, they didn't have electricity. Ryder was a voracious reader and spent her time studying books since she had no television. Ryder started taking acting classes at American Conservatory Theatre when she reached the age of 12. Ryder landed her first film role on the big screen in 1986, aged 15 years old. old. Ryder experienced bullying at high school. Ryder hoped that her actions would bring about a change.
